NV Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay
Pale pink / salmon colour. The nose is showing some complex nutty and yeasty characters with underlying strawberry fruit. On the palate, this wine is light bodied but full flavoured showing generous kiwi fruit and guava. Serve on any occasion.
Both the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes were picked at night. The grapes were then crushed and de-stemmed immediately to ensure minimum skin contact and phenolic extraction. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay were fermented separately under cool conditions to ensure delicacy of the base wine, these base wines were then blended to obtain desired characters for the finished wine. The base wine was re-fermented and left on lees for six months to maximise mouthfeel and complexity.
Six months on lees.

91 Points: 'Smart packaging reminiscent of the label of Louis Roederer. Left on lees for a number of months; its salmon pink; the 60% pinot noir component is dominant, with it's abundant cherry, strawberry fruit carrying through to the creamy back palate.'

4.5* 'Barossa - based Thorn-Clarke always delivers bang for your buck. Its Sandpiper table wines are astonishing value and this bubbly follows suit. It is pale copper-pink in colour, with appetising red berry, citrus, spic and light yeasty notes on the nose, a smooth rich palate and a touch of firmness on the lingering, fine after-taste'
Tony Love, Adelaide Advertiser, 9 December 2009
89 Points. ‘The palest of blushes just tips this into the rose class, with attractive crunchy strawberry twang, a clean fresh palate that doesn't pretend to provide any great complexity and rather a refreshing fun drink of summer bubbles’
TONY ASPLER'S WINE PICKS, ON THE GO, MAY 2015, VOLUME 8, ISSUE 5
‘Don’t miss this great value bubbly. Pale pink-gold in colour; a nose of cherries with a floral grace note. Medium-bodied, dry, easy drinking; creamy on the palate with a sour cherry flavour.’
