2014 Terra Barossa Shiraz Cabernet Petit Verdot
Deep inky colour. A complex fruit driven aroma. Red currant, spice and cream lay-ered with slight herbal undertones, the palate has a grainy tannin line. The red currant, blackberry fruit characters, dried herb notes combine with a spicy oak character. The wine has a soft but lingering finish.
The fruit was harvested at night when the fruit was deemed to be ripe by our winemakers. Warm fermentation was carried out in a mix of potter and open fer-menter. Extended time on skins adds to the texture of the wine. The wine was matured in French oak for ten months prior to blending and bottling.
Shiraz - 51%, Cabernet Sauvignon - 38%, Petit Verdot - 11%
The 2014 Vintage was characterised by Spring rainfall being well below average with several days reaching 30°C. With the exception of these few days the growing season had even temperatures throughout. Ripening was slow and steady leading to the development of good tannin structure and fruit characters.

Brilliant violet. Aromas and flavors of cassis, cherry pit, dark chocolate and candied flowers, given spicy lift by a peppery nuance. Juicy and focused on the palate; a pungent herbal element builds as the wine opens up. Finishes on a spicy note, with good tenacity and dusty tannins lending shape and grip.
