2007 Sorriso Rosé
Pale red in colour. The lifted nose is floral and reminiscent of rose petals and cherry blossoms. The palate is light and savoury in style yet vibrant with great fresh berry fruits and cherries. This wine is full of fresh fruits and balanced with clean acidity. Great length of raspberry juice flavours make this wine an exquisite match to antipasto plate foods.
The grapes are crushed and destemmed then left on skins to extract the colour required. The juice was then drained from skins to complete fermentation in a stainless steel tank (exactly like a white wine). The ferment temperature was maintained in the 12-15 degrees Celcius range to retain lively, fresh fruit character. The wine was then racked from yeast lees, filtered and bottled under stelvin closure to maintain freshness.
2007 Vintage had a mild and long ripening season. These conditions favoured the accumulation of fruit driven and vibrant wines with great acidity.
