Ripe, big cherry and spicy oak aromas waft from this medium to full bodied red. It has very good grip from perceptible tannins and oodles of concentrated brambly berry fruit flavours. This is extremely well balanced and structured with nothing amiss, no rough edges and from the famous terra rossa soil of the Barossa. The finish is lengthy and surprisingly mellow, given the 14.5% alcohol. Pepper encrusted grilled rack of lamb would marry well from now to 2009.
