Thorn-Clarke Wines

Vintage Festival Success

The 2003 Barossa Valley Vintage Festival held on the 21st-27th of April was a first for Thorn-Clarke wines after releasing our first wines in June last year. Thorn-Clarke was involved in a number of activities throughout the week of the vintage festival, all being a great success.
The ‘Barrels and Baguettes’ event held at Thorn-Clarke’s Milton Park Cellar Door was a huge success with visitors enjoying great weather, barrel samples of Shotfire Ridge Shiraz and food.
It was a great opportunity for people from all over Australia to visit the winery during the week long event and see what the Thorn-Clarke family has been working on for some time now.
In addition to ‘Barrels and Baguettes’ held at the winery we were involved in several other events around the Valley. The Small Winemakers Centre at Chateau Tanunda has been of great support whilst we have been developing our own Cellar Door and our wines were at the Chateau to taste with other small producers on the Thursday and Friday of the festival. On the Saturday of the festival the Tanunda Fair was held on the Tanunda oval, food, wine and sideshows for the kids, Thorn-Clarke opted for a wine stall giving people the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine on one of the final days of the festival.
Overall it was a great Festival, and hopefully one of many to come for Thorn-Clarke wines.
