In only two short years, we have made a big impression throughout several of the world’s biggest wine markets. Our success has resulted in winning the United Water emerging exporter category at the Business SA Export Awards held in Adelaide last Friday.
Our wines, which have received accolades from many of the world’s leading wine critics, are now available in USA, Canada, UK, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand. They are also selling well in the Australian market.
World renowned wine critic Robert Parker last year seized upon our value for money and quality stating “several of their offerings are among the greatest red wine values in the market place’.
We’ve created a strong following in export markets for our brands through a long process of product development based on the fundementals of quality and value followed by a well thought out and implemented export marketing program.
And with 270 hectares of vineyard throughout the region we are every well positioned to grow our brand further in the coming years.
Managing Director Sam Clarke said ‘Thorn-Clarke wines are selling well in all markets which we put down to outstanding quality and value for money and the strength of the Barossa region throughout the world’.
‘Whilst wine markets are overcrowded there is still opportunity as more and more consumer’s seek to trial new brands. The key is finding a path to market via a good network of distributor’s and retail customer’s who are willing to support your products. They will only do that if the quality is there — as their customers are becoming more descerning and the choice available is greater the trade are becoming more discerning also’.
‘We will strive to continue to provide outstanding quality at each price level as we see it as an investment in the companies long term sustainability’.
