Chardonnay takes top spot

According toWine Australia's latest National Vintage Report for 2024, Chardonnay has officially overtaken Shiraz as Australia's largest grape variety by crush volume. The last time Chardonnay held this title was over a decade ago in 2013.

As Chardonnay regains popularity, there are still some hesitant to give this beautiful variety a chance - possibly due to a long held reputation that Chardonnay is heavily oaked and maybe just a bit too much. But modern Chardonnays are anything but. OurVarietal Collection Chardonnay, for example, is a bright, crisp and refreshing style wine, with succulent green apple, honeydew melon and hints of lemon butter.
