Australian Wine Selector – ‘Icon of the future’

The Australian Wine Selector magazine held a Barossa Shiraz tasting late last year. The panel of six well known Australian Wine makers and Judges tasted Shiraz from many of the Barossa’s wineries and reviewed 23 wines in their Autumn edition.
The 2001 William Randell was labelled;
‘Icon of the future’.
‘one of the most powerful and complete wines reviewed by the panel’.
‘It’s an example of how Barossa old vine Shiraz can successfully carry a lot of oak. The power and sweetness of the fruit still dominates with unbelievable tannin structure’.

If they thought the 2001 was good, they should take a look at the 2002!
