The 2006 Alternative Wine Show held in Mildura in October returned a Gold medal to the 2004 Morello Nebbiolo, a recent addition to the Thorn-Clarke portfolio. The Nebbiolo variety has traditionally been grown in the North of Italy, where climate combined with viticultural techniques, creates wines with earthy and dusty characters. Grown entirely at our St Kitts vineyard in the northern end of the Barossa, we produce a wine with cherry on the nose followed by the traditional dusty palate.
